Cavas Wine Lodge:
where wine is a textural experience

At Cavas Wine Lodge, proprietors Cecilia Diaz-Chuit and Martín Rigal united over a love of wine, in their marriage and their vision to share the culture of the Mendoza wine region through an elevated travel experience. At Cavas Wine Lodge, proprietors Cecilia Diaz-Chuit and Martín Rigal united over a love of wine, in their marriage and their vision to share the culture of the Mendoza wine region through an elevated travel experience. Their passion guided them to create the first luxury lodge in Mendoza vineyards.

The atmosphere at Cavas Wine Lodge embodies their mutual passion for guests “to learn and return home enriched,” according to Rigal. This experience may unfold with a walk through the vineyard, a wine-pairing cooking class, a table at the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence restaurant, or a private terrace view of the sunset with a bottle of sparkling wine.

Located in the Mendoza growing region with an endless view of the Andes, visitors are immersed in a close-to-nature, 55-acre vineyard environment only 30 minutes from the busy city. Here all rooms face west with unforgettable views of the Andes in the day and a pristine dark sky at night. A sincere commitment to the environment and harmony with local communities ensures guests an authentic escape into unspoiled Argentina. “Here the sound of the breeze and the birds inspires us,” says Diaz-Chuit.

As one of South America’s signature varieties, Malbec brings Argentina to the world and Cavas Wine Lodge brings the world to Argentina. There are over 900 wineries in the foothills of the Andes, and the knowledgeable Cavas Wine Lodge staff can be counted upon to provide curated wine encounters and premium winery visits, including tasting outings on a criollo horse with authentic gauchos. There is no better way to be welcomed as an insider in Argentina’s wine country.
