2 Bedrooms with 1 King bed in each room – 120sqm / 1300sqft –– This is our newest accommodation at the Inn – Located across the street from the main Inn, proceed through a private garden patio filled with local flora to reach the front door of this two-story cottage Enter the impressive living room with vaulted ceilings and the original preserved stone fireplace – This light-filled cottage is furnished with a built-in banquette seating dining area and a sitting area with sofa, side chairs and coffee table – The garden patio has outdoor seating and a cedar hot tub The butler's kitchen is supplied with fresh whole fruit, peanuts, house-made granola bars and fresh baked cookies in the cookie jar – The refrigerator is filled with sparkling water, still water and a selection of sodas – There are two spacious bedrooms with luxurious bathrooms furnished with a soaking tub, a shower and two sink vanities One bedroom adjoins the living room on the main floor and the other is up a curved staircase on the second floor – The bedrooms have views of the village and the formal herb and cutting garden – A family style hot breakfast is included with your stay and delivered each morning at the requested time Trivia notes: This is the original summer kitchen from the 1700s and was converted into an elegant retreat after a meticulous year-long renovation – Named in tribute to the first Relais & Chateaux property in France, “La Cardinale” and to Virginia’s state bird, the red cardinal No extra bed possible – Charges apply – 4 Persons maximum
