In praise of slowness

Get off the motorway and leave the GPS behind! To fully appreciate the landscapes and heritage of Cathar country, fans of Slow Living can stick to traveling on minor roads. We have created an itinerary full of charm, taking in the Cathar castles of Quéribus and Peyrepertuse, also known as "vertigo citadels". Stop off at Cucugnan on the way, the picturesque village made famous by writer Alphonse Daudet in "Les Lettres de mon Moulin". Play 18 holes of golf

Cut across the garden to the golf course in the early hours. Only a few meters separate you from hole number 1. Boasting spectacular views of the Pyrénées, take to the 18-hole golf course on the estate alone or accompanied, on foot or in a buggy. Once on the plateau, take a moment to appreciate that this is where the neolithic site of Carsac was located and the history of Carcassonne unfolded. End your tour by taking some refreshment on the terrace at Bistrot d'Auriac or stopping for lunch or dinner.
