Remarkable Gardens

The Jardin du Curé, Potager de la Ferme aux Grives, Enclos de la Ferme Thermale, water garden, sprites garden, grassy amphitheatre, main courtyard and the Jardin du Kiosque... no less than eight gardens and vegetable patches make up the green patchwork of Les Prés d'Eugénie. Various herbs key to Michel Guérard's cuisine are grown in the vegetable gardens. The rose gardens produce flowers for all the bouquets at the property. Higher up, on the hillside in Eugénie and hidden from view, is an orangery filled with clementines, lemons and calamondins.

Rendezvous at the winery

Seven kilometres from Eugénie, the former 17th century barony Château de Bachen is home to the Guérard family and the vineyard where Michel Guérard has been making his distinctive wines for 35 years. The vineyard is open to oenophiles by appointment for private guided tours with our oenologist, followed by a tasting of the latest vintages.

Surf camp and nature sanctuary

Facing onto the Atlantic Ocean, the Maisons Marines d'Huchet wooden lodges welcome castaways for hedonistic holidays just 100 kilometres from Eugénie. At the end of the garden, on the seashore free from human construction, Lette Blanche beach attracts surfing enthusiasts with its wonderful waves and safe environment. A qualified instructor gives private lessons every morning for groups of two or more, which are suitable for surfers of all levels.
