Explore the estate with the gardener, help out in the vegetable garden, or stroll through the vineyards before a wine tasting. Workshops enjoyed in the shade of the trees and walks or bike rides across the estate allow you to encounter the many different sides to the region.

Château St. Gerlach terrace

Located on the edge of Ingendael Nature Reserve, just outside Maastricht city centre, the magnificent Château St. Gerlach has been sensitively restored to provide guests a unique experience. With a total of four remarkable terraces, the grandiose Château is set within manicured, Baroque gardens a perfect place to pop some champagne and enjoy a day on one of the terraces

Spread across the estate, guests can discover sculptures made from various materials such as; wood, stone, steel and terra cotta, amongst others. Young and old alike are invited to dig in and get their hands dirty at WIJland, home to Château St. Gerlach’s kitchen garden and vineyard. You’ll join volunteers who gather every week to help harvest the seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs that supply the estate's kitchens. This is a fun and accessible activity for everyone, ideal for learning about the cycle of the seasons and to better understand the link between gastronomy and sustainability.
