Winter sports in Cogne

Cogne, located in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park, is particularly suitable for Nordic skiing with its 50 miles of trails and 11 loops that wind between trees and mountain streams. In this preserved nature setting, it is not uncommon to see ibexes, chamois and ermines. Downhill skiers and snowboarders will enjoy the intimate atmosphere of the family ski area and its 5 miles of slopes spread across the fir forest from the top of Montseuc. With the Grand-Paradis glaciers as a backdrop, the resort, at an altitude ranging from 5,033 to 7,536 feet above sea level, offers excellent quality snow. As for the famous glacier, it is ideal for ski touring, with more than 620 itineraries proposed around the Saint-Ursus meadow.

The Cogne Valley offers countless walks and excursions that allow you to discover the flora and fauna of Gran Paradiso National Park. Lakes, waterfalls, glaciers, forests and springs are just waiting to be discovered. In the summer and autumn, enjoy a walk through this natural setting.
