Formerly called Rue Fortunée, Rue Balzac changed its name the same year that the famous writer died. He had lived on it during the last four years of his life, in a house on the site of the current Hôtel Balzac, until 1850. Follow in his footsteps along the elegant facades of this quiet street, a stone's throw from the Champs-Elysées. Your stay in the hotel, whose redesign by the Festen architect duo is inspired by the 1930s, may make you want to (re)read one of the great classics from the creator of La Comédie humaine.

The Festen architectural studio took inspiration from 1930s Paris and post-Art Deco Japonism to design subtle spaces conducive to both serenity and inspiration.
