Blackberry Farm's renowned cuisine is rooted in what comes from our farm as well as the region. Often described as Foothills Cuisine,® it wanders the line between refined and rugged, borrowing from both haute cuisine and the foods indigenous to Smoky Mountain heritage of Blackberry Farm. Our 2014 James Beard Award winning wine team, focuses on finding the perfect pairings for our Foothill Cuisine to complete the full experience.

Wine and Food

A stone fireplace, a chandelier overhead, and tables clad in antique fabrics lend a rustic charm to The Barn at Blackberry Farm restaurant. Inspired by the culinary traditions of the region, Chef Cassidee Dabney's creative dishes celebrate fresh seasonal ingredients, grown on site or sourced from local producers.

Situated within the Main House, the Dogwood features a menu as dynamic as the veranda views of Blackberry Farm and the Great Smoky Mountains that extend beyond its bar and dining room. Inspired by the remarkable location, but open to creative interpretations and flavors, the Dogwood's well-crafted cuisine from Executive Chef Sarah Steffan is characterized by an eclectic perspective expressed through diverse dishes and fare. Seasonal menus are served in an intimate environment that is at once elegant and comfortable, with engaging guest experiences like passed small bites, shared plates and an ever-changing sideboard of classic farmstead desserts. Complementing this memorable cuisine, the Dogwood's beverage program features a curated list of small production wine and beer and an exclusive assortment of inventive cocktails, unique whiskeys and American brandies.

Breakfast and lunch is enjoyed in the Main House at Blackberry Farm. Pick a table inside the dining room, or take in the view of the Great Smoky Mountains from the Main House lawn. Executive Chef Bonnie Moore's dishes are designed to sustain guests through an active day on the stream or trails and share delicious, regional flavors inspired by what's growing at the Farm. Lunch is centered on wholesome salads, unique Southern sandwiches and soups that highlight seasonal and farmstead ingredients.

The Main House

Re-discover life’s simple pleasures and natural balance at this traditional farm in Tennessee. All year long, a fantastic team made up mostly by women and headed by the young and talented Chef Cassidee Dabney,creates delicious recipes. Borrowing from both haute cuisine and regional heritage, it is based on local ingredients and takes advantage of the cheese, vegetables, herbs and honey produced in the farm. The Wellhouse and its new wellness facilities are rooted in the same philosophy of balance and harmony between body and soul, and offer an enjoyable addition to the many activities provided, amongst which cooking classes, gardening, cheesemaking, fly-fishing or exploring the region in a Lexus or by horse-drawn carriage.

Quietly nestled in the foothills of the southern Appalachian mountains, our working farm immerses guests into a gentle rhythm of living. Blackberry Farm is a delight to the senses during each of the four seasons. Spend your days casting a line in Hesse Creek for trout, in the saddle seeing the farm on horseback, clay pigeon shooting, learning about heirloom seeds from our master gardener or sampling cheese from our East Fresian sheep.
