Just a short distance from central Paris, in Ville-d'Avray, Les Étangs de Corot invites guests to unwind in a picturesque and verdant setting. This exceptional hotel, famous as a historic guinguette tavern, is flanked by a forest and ponds, lending it a special aura that feels like a step back in time. Favored by painter Camille Corot, whose former home still stands nearby, and visited by many other celebrated writers and painters, its rooms and suites are elegantly decorated in the style of an artist’s studio, with designs that reflect its remarkable gardens. A charming place to stay for couples or families, Les Étangs de Corot is renowned for its relaxed approach to life–its spa, Les Bains de Corot, is the perfect place for rejuvenation. With a terrace that opens directly onto the garden, Le Café des Artistes offers authentic, gourmet cooking, while Le Corot restaurant invites you to enjoy the delicious cuisine of Chef Rémi Chambard, whose gastronomy is inspired by the surrounding nature. The spa is closed for renovation until the end of June. Private jacuzzis and treatment rooms remain available.

From Paris to Honfleur, following in the footsteps of the great Impressionists

This journey through Normandy offers a chance to take in the landscapes behind the easels. Few regions in the world are so synonymous with a school of painting. Monet, Caillebotte, Sisley, Manet, Renoir and so many others created Impressionism in this area, such was their fascination with the light, the expanses of sky and the bucolic settings. Even though their masterpieces are nowadays scattered around the world's finest museums, anyone can come here to view the scenery that they loved and painted so much. Didn't Claude Monet say of the shoreline at Honfleur : "Every day I see something new and more beautiful here, so much so it's enough to drive one mad!"

Guinguette des Étangs

Every Friday evening, from May to September, Les Étangs de Corot revives the spirit of the guinguette (a lively, open-air café) with contemporary style. Live performances, accompanied by barbecues, savory snacks and signature cocktails, set the tone for long summer evenings overlooking the ponds. Whether you’re on the terrace or in one of the iconic beach huts that are listed as historical monuments, it's a delightful setting in which to enjoy a cultural program that blends pop, folk, rock and classic French music.

Afternoon tea at Les Étangs

Conceived by Pastry Chef Baptiste Vial, afternoon teas–known here as Le goûter des Étangs–combine culinary art with indulgence. Served on three-tiered stands, a selection of six pastries–including one designed to share–take a fresh look at the traditions of patisserie, with original flavors inspired by the ponds, the forest and the history of the area. A booklet accompanies each tasting to explain the chef's approach.

Cycle tours

Around Les Étangs de Corot, the landscape can be explored by pedal or electric bicycle, courtesy of the JOOKS app. The ‘Royal Promenade’ leads to the Palace of Versailles and some of its more secluded spots, while a second route crosses the Saint-Cloud estate, Marne-la-Coquette and the Fausses-Reposes forest, and a shorter ride takes you to the ponds that inspired Corot himself. Certified as an Accueil Vélo (‘Cycle-Friendly’) destination, Les Étangs de Corot is also close to well-known cycling routes such as La Véloscénie and La Seine à Vélo.
