The Botanique Hotel Experience is an ode to nature that was designed expressly to give guests an immersive experience in the luxuriant botanical world of Campos de Jordào – a vast, protected reserve halfway between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The Botanique Hotel Experience sits on a hillside facing the Mantiqueira Mountains and Brazilian architects and artists are behind its design, combining enormous clay boulders from nearby rivers with pink cedarwood, glass, and steel. The villas and suites of this intimate retreat have floor-to-ceiling windows, as does the Mina restaurant, which offers views of the Atlantic forest and serves garden-to-table cuisine. The large, 11,000-square-foot spa with indoor ozonated pool provides a range of treatments inspired by traditional Brazilian relaxation rituals. Opening out onto the Mantiqueira hills and forest, the spa is spread over 10,750 square feet/1,000 square meters, and offers five treatment rooms, a sauna, an indoor pool and heart-shaped outdoor pool. Treatments and massages are inspired by Afro-Brazilian relaxation rituals and use botanicals sourced from the gardens.
