Unique in the world: Observing grizzly bears in their natural habitat.
Releasing nearly 200,000 salmon into the river each year, the property helps this species to regain its strength - to the delight of the grizzlies, who are all rather partial to them.
In collaboration with a fishermen's organization, the property strives to respect biodiversity. Sonora Resort also supports local communities via its sourcing policy: the organic fruit, vegetables, fish, cold meats and cheese are all produced nearby. The team is provided with accommodation, meals, and transport from the town. As a member of the NGO “Clean the World", which collects the soap and sanitary products thrown away each day by the hotel industry to be redistributed to underprivileged communities, it helps combat shortages in hygiene products, especially for children.
