Our afternoon teas are a feast of pure indulgence. Fine quality tea, scones with jam and cream, plus a stacked platter of cakes and sandwiches, served with vintage china, in the exceptional setting of a grand country house. An afternoon tea at Palé Hall is a special treat for a special occasion or celebration, or just for the sheer joy of it!

We can provide fishing packages for all levels, we have a five-rod license and can arrange a guide and lessons within easy walking distance of the hotel. There is nothing to compare with the time you catch your first fish having learned to cast from scratch. Tranquility and oneness with your surroundings is in tune with the whole Palé experience

Fishing on the River Dee

The cuisine served in the Henry Robertson Dining Room draws inspiration from the estate’s history and the Welsh landscape. Chef Edward Marsh celebrates local ingredients in elegant, seasonal dishes. The space’s ornate ceilings, period features and garden views complement a menu that feels profoundly connected to the terroir.

Huntsman bars are original highly carved Victorian bars and were a notable brand. We have decided to maintain the name in honour of her heritage. The Huntsman Bar and Bistro is a relaxed space with a warm atmosphere. It offers an extensive bistro menu and is home to our casual dining offering. The Huntsman is dog friendly (all dogs must be on a lead and well behaved). Children are welcome to eat here at lunchtime and up to 7.30pm. Walk in guests are very welcome but it is highly advisable to book a table. The Huntsman is open for food from 12-3pm and from 6pm until 9pm. Coffee and drinks are available 11am-11pm.

The Huntsman Bar

Standing on the shores of Lake Snowdonia, near Bala in North Wales, Palé Hall is a Victorian manor house dating from 1871, surrounded by 15 acres of parkland. This property boasts a rich heritage, having hosted renowned historical figures including Queen Victoria, who stayed here for almost 10 days in 1889, and Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who visited in the 1950s. Inside, expect eclectic decor–including plenty of antiques–and a wonderfully cozy atmosphere.
