Novalis was one of the most important poets of German romanticism. His real name was Georg Philipp Friedrich Freiherr von Hardenberg and he is an ancestor of the current count. The BurgHotel's restaurant bears his name. The focus is on perfectly prepared dishes with the best ingredients from the region. Vegetarian can look forward to a completely vegetarian menu in three to five courses.

In 2019, the Hardenberg distillery decided to focus attention on tradition and innovation. The new building will produce various different nectars in the future, each one more delicious than the last. The raw materials are processed on site before being bottled. Equally as entertaining for professionals as it is for amateurs. Hardenberg distillery is more than a production plant. It will inspire you to find out about the sublime liqueurs, as well as the town of Hardenberg and its history.
