It was here–at 8115 Vilakazi Street, in a modest red-brick house–that Nelson Mandela lived between 1946 and 1962, before being imprisoned for 27 years. Located in the township of Soweto, the house has since been transformed into a museum. Family photographs and personal belongings fill its small rooms, offering a journey back in time and a glimpse into the private life of the 1993 Nobel Peace Prize winner.
