The picturesque village of Saas-Fee

At the entrance to Saas-Fee, visitors discover the stadels-traditional Valais grain stores perched on wooden stilts. All motorized vehicles are banned, which adds to the tranquility and appeal of this authentic village that respects its environment. Electric vehicles allow you to travel through the peaceful streets of the resort, against a backdrop of breathtaking beauty, whatever the season.

Christmas with George Michael

Did you know that the iconic music video for 'Last Christmas' by Wham! was filmed at the Walliserhof in the early 1980s? The hotel is celebrating the 40th anniversary of this seasonal anthem's release with an offer that pays tribute to the musical genius of songwriter George Michael. It includes a signature cocktail and a three-course gourmet meal, as well as a spa treatment using grape marc - a by-product of winemaking - given by candlelight. Perhaps the most romantic way to give your heart to someone special...

Winter sports

The splendid Saas Valley is surrounded by 18 peaks over 13,000 feet high. Its mountains and glaciers make up an impressive landscape that never fails to dazzle visitors. With more than ninety miles of perfectly groomed slopes and trails, the ski area has definitely proven itself to be "the pearl" of the Alps. A multitude of aerial trams carry snow sports enthusiasts to the summit to fulfill their passion and enjoy prodigious views. In addition to skiing, Saas-Fee offers a wide range of other activities: sledding, glacier climbing, hiking, snowshoeing, icestock sport, and cross-country skiing, to name but a few. Winter sports here are many and varied, and are a joy for everyone.

Reach for the summit!

At first glance, 13,211 feet is an impressive altitude, all the more so if you're offered the chance to climb to such a height. Thankfully, however, a mountain guide will accompany you on this adventure, so you can rest assured that almost anyone can climb it safely. As you set off on the ascent of the Allalinhorn, a summit in the Valais Alps free of technical difficulties, it's the mythical 13,000-feet bar that you'll be proud to cross for the first time. This is an experience that will elevate you in the truest sense of the word, a destination where breathtaking views await you. Set off to achieve this classic conquest!

Exploring Ice Caves

Our guide, Alessandro, invites you to explore the glacier caves of Saas-Fee. In these uniquely preserved places, located 11,500 feet (3,500 metres) above sea level, discover a world of ice dating back 2000 years. In the vast Allalin cave, stroll through the heart of a fascinating universe that mixes mysticism, fairy tales, legends and a profound sense of wonder.

Meeting marmots

In winter, Saas-Fee marmots hibernate in their burrows for six to eight months. But from mid-April, these adorable balls of fur emerge once again-and by following the paths of Spielboden or Stafelwald, you have a chance of meeting them. During family getaways, children can distribute carrots and peanuts to these curious creatures, who look forward to your visit.
