Winter sports

The splendid Saas Valley is surrounded by 18 peaks over 13,000 feet high. Its mountains and glaciers make up an impressive landscape that never fails to dazzle visitors. With more than ninety miles of perfectly groomed slopes and trails, the ski area has definitely proven itself to be "the pearl" of the Alps. A multitude of aerial trams carry snow sports enthusiasts to the summit to fulfill their passion and enjoy prodigious views. In addition to skiing, Saas-Fee offers a wide range of other activities: sledding, glacier climbing, hiking, snowshoeing, icestock sport, and cross-country skiing, to name but a few. Meeting marmots

In winter, Saas-Fee marmots hibernate in their burrows for six to eight months. But from mid-April, these adorable balls of fur emerge once again-and by following the paths of Spielboden or Stafelwald, you have a chance of meeting them. During family getaways, children can distribute carrots and peanuts to these curious creatures, who look forward to your visit.
