Each year, Ellerman House organises an event to raise money for the Click Foundation, an organisation that strives to promote literacy in response to the education crisis in South Africa.
The aim of the Click Foundation is to experiment with innovative learning solutions based on new technology. Convinced that children's low proficiency in English is a learning obstacle at all levels of education, the Click Foundation has developed, among other initiatives, an online introduction to English program. The programs implemented have helped over 10,000 students. To support this foundation, Ellerman House organizes the annual ArtAngels, a charity celebration which includes an auction of pieces donated by South African artists. The money raised is put toward equipping schools and developing new programs.
