The hotel, perched on a cliff over the sea in a breathtaking position in Capri, offers from everywhere one of the most beautiful views in the world. Once a summer house of a Russian Prince, it is now a boutique hotel with an exquisite décor much loved by King Farouk of Egypt who was booking his suite for the year. Here you can enjoy the stunning infinity pool overlooking the Bay of Naples, the flavours of the restaurant with one of the best views on the island, the music on the terrace at sunset and the wonderful gardens. Feel welcome to the land of aesthetes and start discovering the blue legend of Capri!

A breathtaking view

Nothing less than one of the most beautiful views in the world: this is what the Caesar Augustus offers, benefiting from an exceptional location, clinging on to a cliff that overhangs the Mediterranean sea, which blends into the horizon in deep halcyon shades of blue.

Shop ‘til you drop

Shopoholic? Whether you want to buy a bottle of limoncello liquor, some hand-painted ceramics or splash out on the latest designer fashions, you’ll find just what you’re looking for in the island’s tiny boutique-lined lanes. The perfect souvenir of Capri? Pop into Antonio Viva’s tiny little workshop in Via Giuseppe Orlandi 75, and ask Anacapri’s best known cobbler to make you a pair of his made-to-measure, hand-stitched sandals - while you wait!

The Blue Grotto

The Blue Grotto is undoubtedly Anacapri's most iconic destination. Its entrance is so narrow that only small rowboats can pass through, and visitors must bow down to pass into this secret passage. From your hotel, walk to the historic heart of Anacapri and follow the signs to the cave. Along the way, take a moment to stop and admire the ruins of Villa Damecuta, the former home of Emperor Tiberius.

A walk on the wild side

One of the island’s most spectacularly panoramic walks, the Sentiero dei Fortini hugs the coastline of Anacapri all the way from the Blue Grotto to the lighthouse on Punta Carena. The route is dotted with rocky promontories, bays as deep as fiords, and the three, 18th century forts after which the path is named. Start the walk at the Blue Grotto and, once at Punta Carena, treat yourself to a refreshing dip in the sea beneath the lighthouse.
