surrounded by naturevaulted-stone architectureaward-winning spahorseback ridinggastronomic destination

Wake up in a stunning natural setting in the Lorraine countryside. Behind its thick stone walls, whose charm recalls that of a medieval castle, Le Domaine de la Klauss hides a world of pure relaxation. Subtly decorated, the rooms and suites offer you a luxurious cocoon of elegance and comfort. With soothing views of the rolling green hills beyond and immaculate bathrooms, they are the perfect prelude to the estate’s 800-square-metre spa. Imagine a day spent basking in the stone-vaulted spa with its sensory swimming pool, jacuzzi and Finnish steam showers, followed by a round in the fitness room or a pause on a Balinese bed, before satisfying your taste buds with the inventive and refined cuisine of Le K restaurant or the generous traditional cuisine of L’Auberge.

Extraordinary experiences with Iberian horses

Meet the Iberian horses that live in the Domaine de la Klauss stables and experience something truly unique. Renowned for their natural elegance and appearance, they are also celebrated for their showmanship. Sevillano, Elogio, Tempranillo, Galeon, Florete, and Lancelot are sure to win you over when showing off their Spanish walk, doing piaffes to music, or greeting you with a bow. Nestled in the heart of seven hills, the Domaine de la Klauss also boasts direct access to unforgettable forest horseback rides for more advanced riders. There is also the opportunity to perfect your skills with a dressage lesson, led by a specialist dressage instructor. What's more, you can enjoy an ethological introduction to the world of horses, during which you'll work freely with the horse whilst being accompanied by a horse trainer. Lasting memories are on the horizon.

Discover wild orchids

In 1994, the sunny slopes of the six Collines de Montenach were classified as a national nature reserve. This unique natural habitat rich in flora is home to rare wild orchids. From May to June, there are various walks offered by the Maison de la Nature enabling you to admire the delicate beauty of these flowers.

Malbrouck, back from the war

Located 10 minutes from the estate, Château de Malbrouck overlooks the village of Manderen. Classified as an historical monument, the 15th century building stands out for its impressive architecture. We offer both guided and self-guided tours of this famous chateau, scene of part of the War of the Spanish Succession.

Itinerary - The nuances and riches of Northern Europe

Why do in three hours what you could do in three days? While a single morning arguably allows enough time to reach Montenach, in France, from Sint-Truiden, in Belgium, via Luxembourg, it takes a little longer to truly appreciate the nuances that distinguish the three countries. See the itinerary
