Who is Chef Ralf Berendsen ?
Dutch chef Ralf Berendsen arrived at Domaine La Butte aux Bois in 2011, and he earned his first Michelin star there two years later. This second star recognises the chef’s constant hard work in a perpetual quest for innovation and continued betterment :
“Cooking isn’t just an art, but an endless quest for perfection.”
The chef also insists that the star rewards a group effort and the high-quality work provided by his entire team.

The Chef’s cooking is at once pure and provocative, classic and modern, creative, timeless, and in season !
You can enjoy delicious seafood such as turbot accompanied with goose liver, miso, smoked eel and purslane leaves, or even sole with parsley, Comté and truffle. Unless you’d rather have meat? Then you should go for pheasant with cep mushrooms, Jerusalem artichokes and hazelnuts or even Anjou pigeon with pistachios, ox heart cabbage and cep mushrooms.
The dishes are offered à la carte or following three different menus: Gourmand, Signature, or Déjeuner.
And to finish your meal, why not try something chocolatey for dessert? You can currently choose between a “Chocolate” dessert, accompanied with banana, yuzu and sesame, or the “Truffle”, made of chocolate, truffle, milk and hazelnut butter.
