‘I was born in Joigny, the Gate to Burgundy, as the sign at the entrance of the town suggests. It is where the region opens its arms to welcome you. I was not rocked by vineyard but by the Yonne River. This stunning course of water flows beneath our windows and is for me both soothing and inspiring. I would like to wake up in the middle of the night and be alone at the water’s edge with my line, waiting to catch some fish. Burgundy is a real paradise for nature lovers and those who want a bit of peace.
