My father planted a 2-hectare vineyard on the Côte Roannaise in 1992. It's an AOC. He did it in partnership with the winemaker Robert Sérol. The plot is know as "Les Blondins", it's organic and the grape variety is Gamay. Those who have tried it once have been converted. From the dining room in Ouches you can see our vineyard in the distance.

There is nothing more soul-stirring than an original fusion of three or four carefully selected and measured ingredients. Our careful attention takes it to another level. Troisgros is located in the heart of the countryside, at the foot of a vineyard. It is made up of a farmhouse where guests are received, a kitchen workshop where products are transformed, a restaurant, Le Bois sans Feuilles, were sharing is experienced, and a large Italian-style house, Le Bois Dormant, where relaxation may be had. 
All of these spaces have a modern soul and are surrounded by fields, woods, a lake, garden, and orchard. The taste of César, all guided by the simplicity in cooking, was without a doubt inspired by this new setting.

An installation revealing objects and photographs relating to the history of the venue. The library contains lots of books on art, architecture and landscapes. We collect art and share emotions. Artists like Eric Poitevin, Silvia Bächli, Claude Viallat, Traquandi, Thomas Shütte, Mitja Tusek, Helmut Dörner, Pia Fries have become friends. There are some beautiful works to be discovered. »

"The centre of Roanne is just a stone's throw from our property. I'd advise you to go to the covered market, as there are some very good food artisans. On the way, you can walk through the pretty Parc des Promenades and visit the archaeology and fine art museum. On the way back, stop off at our café-deli, Le Central. This wonderful brasserie has become a must-visit meeting place to enjoy a blue cheese omelette soufflé, frogs legs with ginger, steak tartare, or a chocolate flan."

A legendary road in France, the Nationale 7 was the birthplace of Relais &amp; Châteaux. Typically associated with the era of paper Michelin-style maps, the N7 still evokes a sense of nostalgia–of France from another era. Today, it still makes it way from Paris to the Mediterranean by way of small country roads lined with plane trees, accompanied by the sound of cicadas, the scent of lavender and haute cuisine at every stop. Since 1954, this iconic route has been a watchword for properties dedicated to elegance and good living.

The Nationale 7 is the iconic route that gave birth to the first Route du Bonheur (‘Road of Happiness’). Today, you can enjoy the same journey between Paris and the French Riviera at a leisurely pace. Over eleven days, and with stops at six of our properties, you’ll follow country lanes and pass centuries-old plane trees, all to a soundtrack of cicadas.
