Today, it belongs to James Thomson, who has lovingly preserved the property’s treasures: the ornate Cordoba leather panels, Mortlake tapestries, antique silks and velvets, artwork, fireplaces, period furniture, and other gracious details. As the ideal place to experience your first taste of the true Scotland, Prestonfield House offers the splendor of tradition with the warmth of a genuine Scottish welcome.
