The phrase “a corner of paradise” finds its true home at North Island Resort. Eleven villas, hidden from each other, are scattered beneath lush palm trees along a sparkling white beach. Built from natural materials recovered on the island during its rehabilitation, these villas melt into the landscape and embody barefoot luxury. Relax in the spa, or go exploring, enjoying aquatic activities and the Seychelles’ spectacular flora and fauna, abundant here on North Island. Once a plantation, the island has since been transformed into a remarkable sanctuary. It is not uncommon to spot a turtle emerging from the turquoise waters as you enjoy a meal of freshly caught local fish.

North Island is one of the world’s most exclusive private islands, situated 30 km from the main island of Mahé, Seychelles, renowned for its luminous white beaches, lush tropical environment, filigree reefs and azure Indian Ocean. An exceptional destination where luxury, personalized service and a generous all-inclusive offering combine to give you the ultimate privacy and exclusivity. True luxury is uninterrupted time and an infinite sense of space and North Island provides so many choices as to how to spend it memorably. On land or in water, activities range from snorkelling, diving, fishing, sunset cruises, kayaking, paddle boarding and surfing to exploring the cool and calm forest trails by foot and bicycle, or simply relaxing on the powdery-white beaches. North Island’s philosophy is about creating unique, authentic moments and long-lasting memories, ensuring that each experience is entirely bespoke. With just 11 villas, each with over 450m2 of space and private butler service to anticipate and meet every need, North Island offers a peerless setting for the perfect hideaway.

Our commitments

At the same time as operating a luxury private island, North Island is committed to ensuring the protection of the natural environment and biodiversity.
Ongoing conservation is at the very heart of North’s philosophy. It honours environmental policies that enable it to realise its goal of offering the highest standards of hospitality against a backdrop of sustainable, eco-friendly practice. In tandem with creating a world-class destination, North Island has also created a sanctuary where natural habitats, long neglected, were rehabilitated so that endangered Seychelles fauna and flora could be reintroduced and given a place to grow and thrive. Once exploited as a coconut plantation, North Island’s Noah’s Ark conservation programme has turned the Island into a natural idyll where endangered species such as the Seychelles White-eye, Giant Aldabra Tortoise and Hawksbill Turtle flourish once more.
