Allegheny National Forest1500-acre estatecabin in the woodsfly- and ice-fishingthe great outdoors

In a gorgeously green and unspoilt part of Pennsylvania, halfway between Pittsburgh and Buffalo, lies this charming lodge on a 1500-acre property. Built in the 1920s and handed down from one generation of the Dorn family to the next, Glendorn is now owned by J. Cliff Forrest who ensures it retains all its original charm and authenticity. The main lodge and individual cabins are built with sequoia wood and blend perfectly into the breathtaking natural surroundings. In the forest of hemlock spruces, it is not uncommon to spot foxes, deer, bears or beavers and there are 7.25km of privately owned banks along Fuller Brook for fly fishing, accompanied by experienced guides. With numerous options for adventure, plus top-calibre culinary experiences, and the Forest Spa, there is something for every member of the family to enjoy.

The Lodge at Glendorn Restaurant

Chef Eric Ives

Cooking classics

After time spent traveling and working alongside renowned chefs, Eric Ives returned to his home region with a simple conviction: the finest ingredients require no embellishments and should be allowed to truly express themselves, just as they are. As a result, the menu at The Lodge at Glendorn changes with the seasons and never loses sight of what matters most: flavor.
