At the foot of ski lifts that lead to the La Princesse ski area on Mont d’Arbois in the French Alps, Megève Bois offers direct access to the pleasures of the mountains throughout the year. With around a dozen rooms and suites, this traditional chalet feels more like a private home than a hotel. Silky materials, decorative objects and refined colors bring life to the guest rooms and shared spaces, creating the atmosphere of an authentic family residence. Megève Bois also cultivates a strong artistic identity, expressed through a carefully curated collection of artworks chosen by the Maîtres de maison. This spirit of collection is also reflected in the wine cellar, which brings together 850 labels. In the kitchen, Chef Elvis Dedi presents a convivial style of cooking, with Italian and French influences, at Le Simon restaurant, and takes a more gastronomic approach at a second dining venue, The Andrew.

Cooking classes with the chef

Choose from two hands-on gourmet experiences–either preparing one of the establishment's signature dishes or making pizza in the wood-fired oven–then join the chef in the kitchen to learn some traditional Italian culinary methods. These convivial sessions conclude, of course, with a tasting of the dishes you have prepared.

With more than 850 references–of which more than half are local vintages–the chalet’s cellar is quite the paradise for wine aficionados. To ensure the best tasting experience, relaxed sessions are organized in the cellar or the lounge, led by the sommelier.
