The Hotel Borgo San Felice is based on the Italian diffuso concept, with its accommodation spread throughout the medieval hamlet of Borgo San Felice in Tuscany’s beautiful Chianti. Working through its parent group, Allianz, Borgo San Felice pursues social initiatives coordinated by the group’s Umana Mente (human mind) charitable foundation
The hotel operates the meticulously-designed “harvesting and gathering together” project, aimed at helping disabled young people grow in independence and confidence. Participants live and work together, staying as guests at the hotel, and take part in other activities such as visits and workshops. Borgo San Felice also offers work experience to young people from underprivileged or difficult backgrounds. The project’s aim is to support these individuals as they develop meaningful careers, and Borgo San Felice takes its part in this very seriously.
