The wine route to Champagne

This short journey touches on all aspects of French heritage. After Paris and its cathedral, we head for the Château de Chantilly, with its masterpieces and sublime Living Museum of the Horse. Next, you'll discover the Gothic cathedral of Soissons and the peaceful abbey of Saint-Jean-des-Vignes. On the way along the Chemin des Dames, you'll have the opportunity to reflect or say a silent prayer at the impressive American cemetery of Seringes-et-Nesles. A little farther on, Reims Cathedral marks the entrance to another world as you visit the cellars of Pommery and Taittinger, and near Epernay, of Billecart-Salmon and Duval-Leroy.

Vineyard excursions

Explore the hillsides and pretty villages of Champagne that shape the region’s identity during a tour that takes you to the heart of the vines. A stop overlooking the region’s vineyard-filled landscapes offers an opportunity to learn the art of sabrage–a spectacular way of opening a bottle of champagne using a traditional saber. The day includes lunch at a traditional restaurant, where local specialties are paired with different champagnes.

Discover the art of disgorgement

At a local Champagne house, discover the intricate art of disgorgement, the emblematic technique that removes the sediment formed during the wine's second fermentation. The experience begins with a tour of the vineyard in an electric vehicle and continues with a 101 in Champagne viticulture. You’ll become familiar with the different stages of winemaking before participating in a disgorgement workshop and finishing with a guided tasting.
