Just an hour away from Paris, the Domaine de Primard beckons you to the heart of its 40-hectare grounds. Its gardens, designed by Jacques Wirtz, are home to over 250 varieties of rose and a collection of rare trees. Highland cows, Ouessant sheep, ducks and geese fill the landscape with life. Domaine de Primard offers two additional dining experiences: Le Bistrot Martin and La Table d'Hôtes. The kitchens are stocked by Domaine's permaculture vegetable garden. Meanwhile, the spa offers—for the first time in France—the natural spa treatments developed by Susanne Kaufmann.

Visit the Primard Gardens with Gérard, the Domaine’s longtime gardener

The Primard Gardens extend over nearly 50 acres along the banks of the Eure River. It is home to a varied collection of rare trees and shrubs. Designed more than 35 years ago by Jacques Wirtz, they are representative of the gardens created by the famous Belgian landscape artist. Accompanied by Gérard, you will discover the rose garden-which boasts more than 250 varieties of roses-, the permaculture kitchen garden, as well as a stunning collection of trees and shrubs.
