Set off on unique hikes on footpaths that follow its famous bisses – historic, man-made irrigation canals that meander through the landscapes of the Swiss canton of Valais, and which channel rainwater and snow meltwater to fields, vineyards and orchards. Home to 15 ski touring routes (blue, red and black), it features nearly 25 miles (40 kilometres) of marked and secure pistes, with a positive elevation of more than 26,000 feet (8,000 metres). Suitable for experienced skiers and beginners alike, there are three initiation courses, culminating in one called 'La X'treme'. Surrounded by breathtaking panoramas, savor these unforgettable climbs and descents in an almost magical universe.
