"Customers often ask me about the history of Villa Victoria and it is always an emotional moment for me to talk about the origins of our establishment. It is unusual for being the only late nineteenth century property built in St-Jean-de-Luz. When in 1986 promoters coveted the site for a new property development involving its total destruction, things came to a head. Unable to contemplate this historical house disappearing forever, Richard Perodeau and I decided to buy the estate and launched an extensive renovation and decoration programme to rehabilitate this mansion. Five years of efforts gave birth in 1991 to Parc Victoria."
"I always liked antiquing, especially for Art-Déco furniture and objects from the 1920s and 1930s. Having acquired the Villa Victoria and fallen under its spell, it seemed obvious to me to furnish this beautiful house according to my taste and thus reconcile my two passions. I already owned some nice pieces that I wanted to highlight and I used the existing furniture to imagine the structure and decoration of the rooms. Each room has its own identity and differs from the others by its decoration and furnishings. The positioning of each curio, painting and rug - almost all of which are period pieces - has been designed to be both balanced and practical."
"Parc Victoria is the ideal place for children as it offers a peaceful and protected environment where youngsters can play in complete safety. They will love to play in the extensive enclosed grounds, standing away from the road, and the heated, gently sloping outdoor pool with roller shutter. The hotel has many ideally laid out family suites, where a family of four can stay comfortably and independently. At the restaurant, the chef offers a children's menu composed of simple dishes with portions adapted to everyone's appetite. Table football, table tennis and a games console make the place even more attractive."
