Thank you for your patience...
Nestled at the foot of the Alps on well-aerated limestone soil, the wine-growing region of South Tyrol benefits from an exceptional terroir, making it a destination of choice for wine lovers. The charming courtyard of the chateau and the historic paneled rooms provide an ideal backdrop for tasting some local gems.
Experience the peaceful and picturesque spot of the Castel Fragsburg Paternum. In the exclusive setting of the inner courtyard of the medieval castle nearby, you will enjoy seasonal delicacies, prepared with love from the Fragsburg kitchen.
On an excursion through the Fragsburg magic forest with our Modern Alchemist Renate De Mario Gamper, who derives from a South Tyrolean nature women clan, you will encounter nature as a being and living organism. Renate teaches you what it means to communicate with trees and plants, to engage with these entities and their essential properties and to gratefully accept their healing power and magical treasures. Part of this "sensory expedition" is a picnic with fresh specialities from Renate’s herbs and healing cuisine, inspired by recipes from the German medieval mystic, cosmologist and natural scientist Hildegard von Bingen.
Enjoy magical moments, just the two of you. In the romantic atmosphere of our Sanctuarium tree house, in perfect harmony and immersed in the essence of nature, you and your loved one will be pampered by our massage therapists at the same time. You can expect a subtle cleansing ritual, sensual fragrances and soft sounds as well as tapping techniques and an enveloping, relaxing massage for the mind, body and soul. We have sourced grape seed oil from the local vineyards for the massage and turned it into a moisturising and toning alchemistic spa product. This ritual pays homage to the Roman goddess of childbirth and marriage.
Follow in the footsteps of former local rulers on an enjoyable walk. Castel Fragsburg served as a hunting lodge for the lords of the neighboring castle on top of the great cliff, which we now affectionately call Castel Fragsburg Paternum. Built in the 14th century, the two properties were bought and sold several times over the following years. Upon acquiring them, the Ortner family brought the two buildings back together, hand in hand, as they were originally. Nowadays the castle is only open for hotel guests to visit and it is the ideal event location for fairytale weddings, celebrations, meetings and incentives.
