The Bernese Highlands’ first spa hotel, called Bad Lenk, was built at the end of the 17th century downstream from Balmen, Europe’s richest mountain sulphur source. Today, this spring is an integral part of the architecture at Lenkerhof gourmet spa resort, a magnificent hotel boasting great views of the Wildstrubel and the Plaine Morte Glacier, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 7-Sources Beauty & Spa is named after the spot where the River Simme rises, drawing energy from the flowing waters. It offers guests a chance to rejuvenate in a setting of natural timber and stone. Within a fabulous landscape, Lenkerhof provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy everything that the mountains have to offer, whatever the season.

The Lenkerhof Gourmet Spa Resort has implemented an ISO 14001 standard certified environmental management system. This initiative enables the resort to improve its resources management in an environmentally conscious way.
Lenkerhof's environmental management system takes all of the property's stakeholders into account. Employees are involved in the continual improvement of initiatives put in place to responsibly manage resources and to reduce the impact of the property's activities. A suggestion box allows each staff member to put forward projects to limit water and energy consumption and improve waste management. Suppliers are selected based on their social responsibility, among other criteria. Lenkerhof's environmental policy has been designed to obtain concrete results without compromising quality and comfort for guests.
