Allons au Marché avec les Chefs' ('At the Market with the Chefs') on Sunday 27 September

Showcasing the diversity and abundance of the area's produce in order to promote authentic flavours and protect the environment: such are the objectives of "Allons au Marché", an event to be held on Place Lino Ventura in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, as part of Fête de la Gastronomie.

From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., nine Relais & Châteaux Chefs, all enthusiastic advocates of genuine flavours, will gather to raise your awareness of healthy cuisine: cooking eco-friendly produce in harmony with the seasons. Olivier Barbarin, Cédric Béchade, Jérôme Blanchet, Julien Dumas, Patrick Henriroux, Michel Kayser, Philippe Mille, Olivier Roellinger and Philippe Vétélé are the talented chefs who will bring out the best in the seasonal produce of that morning's market. Each chef will be accompanied by his own market farmer.

The programme includes an overview of little-known vegetables, chopping workshops, sampling for children and adults, and the preparation of simple, delicious dishes. This is a fun and educational opportunity to discover or rediscover the vegetables of yesterday and today. Produce grown all over France by the market gardeners will also be available for sale.

The event will take place on 27 September from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Place Lino Ventura, at the corner of Avenue de Trudaine and Rue des Martyrs, 75009 Paris.
