Einzigartig auf der Welt: Mara Plains Camp mit zelten, die in der üppigen vegetation am ufer des Ntiakitiak-flusses fast verschwinden.
In the morning, the Savannah rustles to the growls of big cats and in the distance, a herd of zebras approach a waterhole. For the Mara Plains Camp this region, beating to Nature’s drum, is a world treasure to be preserved at all costs.
As a member of the Great Plain Conservation, Mara Plains Camp has certain responsibilities: preserving one of the last pockets of wilderness in Africa, protecting big cats and other animals from the Savannah and supporting local communities. At Mara Plains Camp guests are accommodated with this in mind: the tents blend into the natural environment without disturbing its beauty and the simple food is prepared using local products. Here, plant and animal life reign supreme and protecting endangered species is a priority. A fine approach to responsible tourism, in partnership with the neighbouring Maasai families.
