Settled on a private, two-hundred-fifty acre estate, Meadowood is known for its beautiful, natural setting, gracious hospitality, classic architecture, luxury lodging and traditional pastimes including croquet, tennis, golf, swimming, hiking and the enjoyment of wine. The Restaurant at Meadowood enjoys the distinction as one of only four Michelin three-star restaurants in the western United States. To enhance each sports enthusiast’s stay, resident professionals include a golf pro, tennis pro, croquet pro and personal fitness trainers. Also a private club, Meadowood counts Napa Valley’s most prominent vintners among its members.
With a reputation as a sanctuary where visitors can escape the bustle of modern life, Meadowood opened a new, 1,300m2, luxury spa in 2015. The facility boasts eight separate treatment suites aimed at complete relaxation and the reconnection of mind, body, and spirit. Service is highly personal, beginning with an in-depth conversation with a wellness professional who creates a tailored treatment plan.
Although the spa is only available to guests and Members, Meadowood is also a strong supporter of California’s Greet The Day program, which offers wellness services to people affected by cancer as part of an integrated approach to oncology care. Working in close partnership with the nearby St. Helena Hospital and Institute of Integrative Oncology, the Meadowood Spa welcomes eight patients, four times a year, for a mini retreat. Patients benefit from a day of spa treatments, and lunch, all courtesy of the hotel.
