Cross the 100m bridge to the private island and you enter a world of sanctuary and escape from the outside world. The complete 350 acre island is dedicated solely to the guest and is abundant with wildlife and flora and fauna to explore and discover- having grown up here I was surprised to hear that not everybody lived on a private island!
The old stable building has been converted to form the centrepeice of the indoor facilities. With a 17m indoor pool and spa pool, thermal suite with Rasul room, sauna and steam room, the 5 Spa treatment rooms featuring Espa and Ishga and local products. There is also a casual deck restaurant for all day dining, with stunning views of Loch Creran and Kingairloch Mountains in the background.
With so much to explore on the island it is often difficult to know where to start. However the fully equipped Gymnasium and indoor sports facility offers an ideal non weather non light dependent escape to work up an appetite. Outside the Howard Swan Golf course with 6 holes, a driving range and practice area. There is also skeet shooting and mountain bike trails, which means there is never a dull moment.
