From Pontresina station, climb aboard the Bernina Express for a scenic journey following a celebrated route through a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the summertime, a themed trail pays tribute to the great philosophers who have explored the region, from Annemarie Schwarzenbach to Erich Kästner. Walk a bit further by taking the path leading to Alp Languard and feel your mind and body relax as you gaze upon this serene and beautiful panorama.

A Sleigh ride through the Roseg Valley

Settle into a traditional sleigh, snugly wrapped in a blanket, to explore an untamed jewel of the Engadine, the Roseg Valley. The horses’ hooves crunch through the snow as the landscapes roll by–forests, sparkling glaciers and sweeping views of the Bernina Range. The ride becomes even more enchanted come nightfall, beneath a sky glittering with stars.

Skating on a frozen lake

In January and February, winter takes on a festive air as Lake Saint Moritz transforms into a veritable playground with entertainment, equestrian sports, deckchairs and gourmet delights. More fascinating still is the rare black-ice phenomenon, which sometimes covers the surrounding lakes with smooth, translucent ice.
