Over a journey of 26 kilometers, the Rhaetian Railway heading to Arosa will have you scaling over 1000 meters. The train will take you through untouched nature and the mountainous countryside of the Schanfigg valley, overlooking a scene that seems to hang from the Langwies viaduct which spans the Plessur. The journey to Arosa is an hour long, and with its 1800 meters of slope, it’s certainly worth the detour.
The Arosa Terre des Ours (or Land of Bears) is adventure for grownups and kids. In the shelter, you will find Arosa Terre des Ours’ first inhabitants: Napa, Meimo and Amelia. While visiting from the observation platform, you will discover not only the history of the bears but also many surprising facts about this splendid animal. You will also be able to entertain yourself with the Mini Golf des ours or on the playground near the central railway station.
With more than 140 km of paths marked and approved, Arosa Lenzerheide, a paradise for winter sports, is one of the main hiking regions in Switzerland. The walking and hiking paths of Arosa Lenzerheide lead to 20 mountain refuges. The squirrel path is, without a doubt, the preferred walk for families.
You’ll always have your skis on - that’s what’s on offer at the Arosa Kulm Hotel. It couldn’t be simpler. After breakfast, it will only take 5 minutes to reach the slopes - whether the Weisshorn, the Hörnli or the Arosa-Lenzerheide train station. Enjoy descents on the return path and stop off at our K. Lounge Bar.
Wrap up warm and let your coach driver and his horses take you over the snow-covered paths. Admire the magnificent surrounding landscape, lulled by the jingling of the horses’ harnesses. A truly wintry atmosphere in a lovely, romantic setting!
