Thank you for your patience...
When I was proposed to manage Villa Principe Leopoldo, I was fascinated by its history and atmosphere. Only living there, day by day, I found out the secret value of each angle, of each object and most important of the employees who working for more than 20 years at Villa Principe Leopoldo have built up the essence and the quality of the hotel.
Few places are able to combine Art and Nature like this landscape on the Collina D’Oro (golden hill) overlooking the Lake of Lugano. At sunrise, when everything is still quite and the sun light rises from beyond Mount San Salvatore, I can perfectly understand this unique and intimate connection.
After many years spent at Villa Principe I could write a book about it, where each word is full of emotions. The most powerful are those during the summer sunset, when the sun slowly slips down, coloring of red the grass, the Villa’ walls, the Suites’ glass walls, and the 19th century marbles and wood decor in rooms.
The guests take their seats on the terrace reached from the first notes of the piano, while at the bar the first cocktails are prepared and the wine is poured to slowly enjoy the scent and the texture. It’s the moment of the sunset, the poet said. It’s the moment to make peace with the world, I say.
The preparation of a perfect wedding party involves a great effort of all members and for me is always a new and stimulating challenge. I do not limit myself just at satisfying the requests of the guests, even the most complex ones, but I try to go beyond their expectations. I love to observe their eyes when they cross the threshold of the room where they will celebrate the most beautiful day of their life. The details are very important and make the difference, especially when it comes to highlight the qualities of an exclusive location such as Villa Principe Leopoldo. It has absolutely no price, to discover in their smiles, that the magic of their dream has just come true.
