The emblematic icon of the House of Hennessy, created by Maurice Hennessy in 1870, Hennessy X.O is the Original. It has remained unchanged since its creation, yet it never ceases to surprise the connoisseur, to whom it reveals more of its multiple facets every time it is tasted.

In 1870, Maurice Hennessy conceived and created a new style of cognac for his own personal use, and for the enjoyment of his friends. He gave it the name X.O for the “extra old” character of the eaux-de-vie that made it up. It was a turning point in history, and the creation of a new reference, both for the House of Hennessy and the world of distilled spirits.
Its deep and intense amber colour and glimpses of mahogany are an indicator of its power.
Open and well balanced, the nose is full of rich aromas of black pepper and wild cocoa, softened by notes of dried and preserved fruits with a delicately spicy edge.
Richly textured, rounded and pleasing, it manages to possess both power and softness at the same time, with a chocolatey hint and an all-encompassing overtone of fruitiness. Its tremendous length emphasises its initial complexity.
At once soft and powerful, it has an undeniably modern personality, which enables it to be appreciated either neat, on the rocks or even cut with a splash of water.
Please drink responsibly.
