Unique in the world: The beautiful panoramic view encompasses cape brett, and the cavalli islands.
For wildlife and plant life alike, property owner Julian Robertson puts his vast 2,400-hectare estate to use welcoming and protecting species that are threatened with extinction.
The property’s predator control programme is now in its 18th year and employs a fulltime gamekeeper to ensure the safety of endangered birdlife. Large wetland areas are maintained and grown with judicious planting of native plants to create travel corridors for the endangered native kiwi, rare New Zealand Dotterels and other threatened birdlife. The wetlands connect the property to a large area of native forest which was donated by the Mr Robertson to the Queen Elizabeth II Trust.
