Using Huka Lodge as their base, and our wonderful fishing guides, guests seek one of the finest angling experiences in the world, returning home with tales of extraordinary adventure and magnificent catches.

As the day draws towards evening tables are set, bathed by soft candlelight – either intimately nestled in a room of great ambiance and style, or within the manicured gardens on the banks of the magnificent Waikato River. Where ever our guests choose to dine there is always the promise of an experience like no other and the opportunity to take away memories for a lifetime – memories defined by generous hospitality and of elegant dining – in the trophy room, the wine cellar, the outdoor terrace, the jetty pavilion, the green room and many other equally unique private venues.”

So many features reminiscent of other landscapes and other countries, are all contained within this one area. A series of lifestyle packages have been created to ensure our guests can readily take advantage of all the amazing experiences and adventures the plateau has to offer – from fishing on Lake Taupo for trophy-size trout, to stalking and hunting deer in the tussock clad mountains or enjoying a challenging game of golf on a stunning course.”
When we designed the two exclusive cottages at Huka Lodge (the four-suite Owner’s Cottage and the two-suite Alan Pye Cottage) we set out to create the ultimate private retreats where our guests could enjoy the very best of both worlds. They could be tucked away in total privacy, with every comfort and amenity, enjoying butler service and a private chef during their entire stay, or they could decide to walk over to the Main Lodge and join the other guests at anytime they felt like doing so. With their own infinity pools, spa pools, studies, well-equipped kitchens and outdoor fireplaces the cottages provide a perfect home-away-from-home for families travelling together and for friends who fancy a gorgeous house party in the countryside with fine food, wine and relaxation.
