Hideaway from the hustle|and bustle of the medina

Riad Fès is a luxury retreat in the middle of the city and after wandering through its complicated network of tiny winding streets, which are not easy to navigate - it was a treat (and often a relief) to return to this haven.

Stepping into its cool, calm and beautifully decorated interior – that you’d never guess existed behind its unassuming sand-coloured outside walls - I immediately felt relaxed, especially after taking a dip in the pool.
I loved starting the day in the light-drenched restaurant every morning.
All the fruit is seasonal and fresh, so I started with watermelon every morning and ate the two different kinds of Moroccan pancakes drenched in honey, which were delicious.
Watching the sun set over the medina on the roof terrace of Riad Fès, which has a panoramic view of the medina, a tasty cocktail in hand, was a highlight of my stay!
The perfect place to wile away a few hours with a book.
By far the best thing for me was the pool. It gets hot in Fes in the summer, so there’s no better way to cool off than taking a dip.
