Castle Hill Inn, |viewpoint in Newport

Welcome to Newport, where you now walk in the footsteps of the greatest fortunes of the United States. Castle Hill Inn itself interestingly has somewhat of a scientific background and nowadays shines in the science of hospitality and dining.

The third step of this journey in the North American east coast takes us nearby the sea to Rhode Island. In keep with Newports heritage, Castle Hill Inn will transport you to the apex of well-being. A world-class hospitality combined with palate-caressing dining await you.

During your stay at Castle Hill, you will inarguably want to visit Newport. The city by which name we also refer to the island has kept its chic 1920’s charm. The architecture is authentic and the buildings in pristine condition. A tall and beautiful white church overlooks the township and is worth the visit (do not miss the nice gardens on its front yard!). The picturesque harbour is neat, inhabited by many niche boutiques that are worth a detour and depending on the season you will be able to look at some elegant boats and yachts. If hunger arises, why not fit perfectly in the opulent setting of Newport and indulge in a perfectly assembled lobster roll while your gaze scrutinises the marina.
Castle Hill Inn’s main building is a beautiful house overlooking the Castle Hill Cove, full of crisp and cold Atlantic Ocean water. In the evening, the sunset paints the property with a light orange brush, giving it an inviting and warm atmosphere. Charmed by its external appearance, we can’t wait to discover what lies inside.
The hotel divides its accommodations between two distinct areas: the main house and the beachfront cabins. We had the chance to stay in one of the small apartments that give right on the water, rightly called a beach house. The biggest perk of staying in one of those is of course the proximity of the ocean and the awe-inspiring sunset you will get to experience just before going to dinner.
The stand-out feature of this suite is without a doubt its Scandinavian and Nantucket styles inspired bathroom. “Essential” could be the motto of the room with only the necessary features you would expect in a salle de bain. Although seemingly simple and unpretentious, everything is high quality and the shower large and comfortable with a window providing an outstanding view on the ocean. The amenities come from a local shop and are quite the par if one likes strong herbal scents.
The dining room at Castle Hill Inn is ideally located with a fantastic viewpoint. And when the view is complemented by outstanding culinary feats, the experience culminates to be one to remember forever. Our dinner here was stupendously brillant and we say that humbly with our little baggage of experience, but yet feel as certain as we can be. Everything was perfectly done, simple as that. We would dine again at Castle Hill Inn in the blink of an eye.
