Through the 208 pages of this new annual publication, it continues a quest – begun in 1954 – to inspire the travelers of today and tomorrow. Distributed free of charge in all 580 Relais & Châteaux properties around the world and in our Parisian boutique – and published in separate French and English editions – Travel Book invites you to celebrate the destinations, territories and cultures of our association, and to meet the women and men who embody our spirit and values.
Under the maxim ‘Venture Further’, the publication encourages you readers to seek out the very best the world has to offer. Travel Book navigates through the entire Relais & Châteaux portfolio, taking in properties on five continents, from the undiscovered side of Venice to wild Norwegian fjords, via the lush nature of Hawaii. You will discover our hotels and restaurants – and families that have often run them for generations – from France’s Breton coast to the crystalline beaches of Grenada and the thermal springs of Japan.
As well as experiencing the sheer beauty of the world, it highlights the unique vision of hospitality that unites our hoteliers, chefs and restaurateurs: the social, cultural, culinary and environmental commitments of our association.
Highlighting our on-the-ground knowledge and celebration of the world’s varied cultures, many of the articles have been written by local contributors – each with their own international reach – to leverage the profound emotional connection they have with their home.
Printed on responsibly sourced, uncoated and high textured stock, Travel Book also saves paper and resources, including transport: it replaces the publication of our far larger Relais & Châteaux Guide.
