On an excursion through the Fragsburg magic forest with our Modern Alchemist Renate De Mario Gamper, who derives from a South Tyrolean nature women clan, you will encounter nature as a being and living organism. Renate teaches you what it means to communicate with trees and plants, to engage with these entities and their essential properties and to gratefully accept their healing power and magical treasures. Part of this "sensory expedition" is a picnic with fresh specialities from Renate’s herbs and healing cuisine, inspired by recipes from the German medieval mystic, cosmologist and natural scientist Hildegard von Bingen.
Located in the panoramic lodge, these baths are healing, scented and inspiring. They offer unforgettable moments of relaxation. In these alkaline baths, we only use spring water and Castel Fragsburg's own alkaline salts, sun-dried in violet glass. They contain minerals as well as mineral clay. These act as a lighting system on the cells and have a cleansing, detoxifying and relaxing effect. They boast incredible benefits.
Follow in the footsteps of former local rulers on an enjoyable walk; discover their favorite places and unique hideaways. Castel Fragsburg served as a hunting lodge for the lords of the neighboring castle on top of the great cliff, which we now affectionately call Castel Fragsburg Paternum. Built in the 14th century, the two properties were bought and sold several times over the following years. Upon acquiring them, the Ortner family brought the two buildings back together, hand in hand, as they were originally. Walk along the picturesque path from the Maternum to the late Gothic castle, whose courtyard is carved out of the rock. Along this exciting walk, you'll discover that the historic castle is also an ideal place for major celebrations.
They are called the enchanted mountains because for centuries the legends of the dwarf king Laurin and his petrified rose garden, the Fanes princess Dolasilla and the Schlern witches surround the pink, glowing rock towers, with 117 three thousand metre peaks, their highest point rise 3343 metres into the sky. A helicopter flight over this bombastic natural spectacle cannot be described in words. You will be picked up at Castel Fragsburg’s private heliport by an experienced Dolomite pilot and flown back right to our entrance portal.
