At the hotel, we have a golf tee box in the gardens allowing you to hit an environmentally-friendly golf ball towards a floating pontoon out in Ardmore Bay. The golf balls are made from fish food – keeping the Ardmore fish very happy.
This unguided route starts just steps away from the hotel. It takes in stunning sceneries around Ardmore Head and Ram’s Head. Ardmore being reputed to be the first monastic settlement in Ireland, this walk also shows off its strong historical heritage with its round tower and cathedral and St. Declan’s well.
Cliff House Hotel is a retreat for all seasons and it’s idyllic location lends itself to a host of outdoor activities in the local area. On-site we can offer an award-winning spa and adventures such as kayaking, surfing, rock climbing and abseiling and archery. In the local area, clay pigeon shooting, foraging trips, cookery schools, castle tours, charter boat trips and many more attractions are available.
For a stay with a difference, make the most of the enviable location of The Cliff House Hotel and the expertise of one of Ireland’s leading whale watchers, Andrew Malcolm, and stay in picturesque Ardmore, with a view to seeing some of these spectacular creatures with your own eyes.
