Unique in the world: The spectacular views of the quilombo valley.
Sophistication, refinement, and good taste. An initiative whose name is inspired by the castles of the Saint Andrew's region in Scotland combines all three, and occupies a constructed area of 1,700 m² located in Gramado, in the Serra Gaúcha region. This is what the Saint Andrews is known for, the first and unique Exclusive House of Brazil hotel, opened in December 2010. The establishment benefits from a superb panorama of the iconic Quilombo Valley, as well as its own lake (with grounds totalling 10,000 m2), and is the privilege of 40 very special guests. A wide selection of personalised services are available in various spaces with unique atmospheres: a gourmet cellar, Primrose Restaurant, library, massage room, arbours, saunas, and a covered, air-conditioned swimming pool. Mountain House follows the new European trend, offering travelers more privacy, security and comfort during their trip or vacation, with all the exclusivity and sophistication that you and your family deserve and that is the essence of Saint Andrews Castle.
With architecture inspired by the Scottish baronial style, the Saint Andrews Hotel sits majestically in Brazil’s Serra Gaúcha region. The region has a deep and strong identity: a theme that runs through both the many cultural events the hotel promotes, and the food its guests enjoy.
Twice a month, the hotel holds its own gastronomic festival and, every September, it participates in Farroupilha Week celebrating Brazilian Gaúcha culture. Here, it invites guests to savor traditional meat dishes enjoyed in a traditional atmosphere centered around log fires and music. Saint Andrews also partners with regional winemakers to organize an annual celebration of the region’s wines. A highlight is the involvement of producer Marco Danieli’s "Atelier Tormenta" the only winery to use grapes sourced entirely from southern Brazil. The hotel promotes the region’s produce year-round too. All its products are Brazilian, and the chef personally discusses the origins of his ingredients with guests.
