Brazil, and especially Bahia, due to its climate, its melting pot of cultures and influences, its lifestyle and its land, is becoming a unique and absolutely fabulous dining destination. We constantly seek to brings these influences together in our cooking and to make it come to life, changing dishes according to recent discoveries, and always making sure to use produce from our local farmers and fishermen wherever possible.

10 commandments to protect the way of life of neighbouring communities: a program developed by the Txai resort Itacaré, situated in an environmental conservation zone.
From compulsory school attendance for the children, to participating in the professional qualification program, restoring run-down areas, practising agroforestry, adopting ecological practices, and regularising personal and family documents: a plethora of commandments to guide the community to use the resources of the Mata Atlântica forest in a sustainable way, while supporting its populations. About 100 families benefit from this program, which includes workshops on making artisanal products and growing organic seedlings. The Txai buys a large proportion of what they produce and helps sell the rest at the Itacaré market.
