The Wauwinet is in such a dramatic setting and the lawn has such a beautiful view over the harbor that many guests never leave the property. I cannot say that I blame them. However, for those guests who want a little more adventure I would recommend a bay cruise aboard the Wauwinet Lady. Observing the pristine beaches of Coatue and the spectacular waterfront houses along the south shore of the harbor is a unique experience, particularly while sipping a glass of champagne. In addition, the 2,000-acre nature preserve to the north of The Wauwinet is an incredible treasure.
Take a drive in The Wauwinet’s own 1947 Woody to the quaint seaside village of Siasconset, located just a few miles from the hotel. With your driver and guide, learn about the local lore and all that makes this summer community brimming with rose covered cottages and sweeping views from the bluffs so special.
